I got a nexplanon implant in my arm at Capitol medical center and it was placed too deep and was giving me nerve pain and numbness. I made an appointment for removal with Olympia planned parenthood and unfortunately they called to cancel my appointment because a provider wouldn't be in that day, but thankfully were able to get me in the day before my scheduled appointment. I was so thankful for the care of everyone in the building. Front desk receptionist was great, the medical assistant who took me back was very kind, and the nurse practitioners I believe who removed my implant were incredibly kind and knowledgeableable. My implant was placed very deep and had a lot of scar tissue and they were very gentle and thorough. It took almost 30 minutes to get my horrible implant out and they took their time to extract it well without hurting me even though it was SO stuck in my arm. They made conversation with me to keep me distracted because I was getting very anxious that they wouldn't be able to get it out. I wish I remembered their names but they both were so kind and gentle and reassured me during the entire procedure. I cannot recommend this location enough everyone was very kind a

In coming to Washington from another state ALL doctors would NOT help me with my harsh menopause symptoms that affect everything …. Planned Parenthood this nurse you know who YOU ARE , this woman is AMZING, as I write this with tears in my eyes, Nurse S., I want you to know how much you help me by just understanding, listening with such compassion, truly your such a blessing in my life ……. Leaving your office, I have hope to forgive myself and I know I’m on the right path to helping others …. Sharon, you’re truly a blessing in my life for more ways than just hormones …….

I will always give planned parenthood 5 stars because our community is so very lucky to have access to their services- however, the medial assistants i encountered didn’t make me feel very comfortable. When someone is going through a hard time or having to make a difficult decision, staff should exhibit more empathy than what I experienced. The ARNP i really loved, but the MA’s were lacking in bedside manner. Someone was being trained and i wished i had been asked if it was okay for her to be in the room. I would have said yes, but it’s important to be given the choice. I just didn’t feel like anyone cared that i was upset or having a hard time. I was just told “you’ll be ok” and rushed through the process. It made a bad day even worse.

I had a lot of anxiety walking into planned parenthood as a Nurse Practitioner myself. I Came from the south where we have protesters at the gate harassing you for walking in there. Even if you’re just getting a well woman exam. I could not find my IUD, I thought that it went missing. And I had some other related health concerns. And Amber and Sharon were great. The clinic is busy. I think they only have two providers splitting the patients up. However, They are pretty quick to get you back if you schedule ahead of time and let them know exactly what you’re there for which patients don’t always. Do they get to the window say they have one concern and want to make an appointment and then it turns into five. So just expect to have one issue addressed at a time I felt safe here. And I felt like my problems were definitely addressed scientifically. It just all kind of made sense. Anyway, I recommend you could go to the OBGYN, but you could also come here You just have to find a provider who is experienced in what they’re talking about and that’s what Planned Parenthood is. I think the ideology that they just do abortions is silly. It’s about preventative care. And who cares if somebod

Every time I come here I am always processed quickly and with kindness. The medical assistant and doctor always make sure all my questions are answered thoroughly. Emma has been my medical assistant a few times and I can not overstate how professional, kind and caring she is. It’s impossible not to have a good day after an interaction with Emma. I am very needle phobic, but Emma made sure she did everything possible for me to have a good blood draw and I can not express enough how grateful I am for that!

Have been SUFFERING from menopause, moved to Washington and was on HRT medication. Unfortunately because of financial went to Sea Mar clinic to where I was treated like a dog and ripped off of medication.. Planned Parenthood from the call of the appointment to the reception, the nurse to the doctor, ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL.. Truly listened, compassionate and so informative. TRULY A BLESSING, I’ve gotten nothing but dead ears and disrespect on my hormones, menopause and all the pain for years, NOT FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Thank you so so much, truly appreciate all 3 of you..

I hope to anyone who goes in and needs an exam doesn't have to be seen by ANP Kimberly. I have never been treated so rudely and felt rushed thru a pap. I was very uncomfortable and she was definitely in a rush. I will absolutely make sure I don't schedule any kind of visit when she is there. ANP Sharon came to my rescue and got all of my medical needs addressed and back on track. It's a great feeling when your truly cared for and that's exactly Sharon does for her patients. She even followed up after I was seen again to make sure I was mentally fine after being treated so poorly and essentially denied medical help. Thank you so much Sharon. I'm deeply sorry your name even had to be associated in the same review. I will be scheduling any and all appointments when you are in the office no matter how important it maybe, I'd rather be able to ask the questions I need to without feeling judged or treated poorly. After every appointment I have with Sharon I leave with a smile on my face and feeling well educated on what I seen for.

Went in for an IUD removal/insertion with Sharon. Her and her MA were amazing. The procedure was very quick; she distracted me with good conversation. The front desk was super friendly. Overall, what can be a scary thing turned out to be an amazing experience.
